Prime Minister Rama, in an interview with Times Radio Politics, responded to Nigel Farage after the latter's statements about Albanians in Britain.
Rama called Farage's claim that "1 in every 50 Albanians in Britain is in prison" "nonsense" and said that the real figures show the opposite.
"Numbers and figures have now become more a matter of opinion and emotion... the number of Albanians entering illegally has dropped to negligible levels. There is no such thing," Rama said.
Responding to Farage's narrative about security, he added:
"If this is the UK's approach, then where will you find the people to build your houses, who will serve you coffee, who will be your taxi drivers and chauffeurs?"
Prime Minister Rama again invited Farage to visit Albania:
"It's not just a beautiful place, it's the most beautiful place... there's still a lot of unspoiled nature and a lot of Central Europe as it once was. I'm sure as a Conservative, Mr Farage will love it."
Meanwhile, Farage had told members of Reform UK a few days ago that the meeting with Rama "will include the possibility of transporting a cargo of convicted persons, perhaps even on a very large plane". He added that his aim is "to deport foreign criminals. We will stop the ships and send back those who enter our country illegally".
