For two days, the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IKMT), supported by the State Police, has undertaken an action in the Valbona National Park, in Tropoja, to demolish structures built without permission in one of the most protected areas of the country.
After the demolition of 8 reinforced concrete structures yesterday in the village of Rragam, today IKMT has continued with the identification and planning for the demolition of 12 other objects, including concrete structures and other buildings built in violation of the law.
According to the official announcement, IKMT emphasizes that the operation will continue without interruption, with the aim of identifying and cracking down on any form of illegal construction within protected areas, guaranteeing the preservation of the environmental integrity of the Valbona National Park.
The action is part of a new initiative to combat illegal construction and restore control over natural spaces, which in recent years have faced numerous illegal interventions.
Authorities have expressed their determination to continue the operation, emphasizing that no one will be tolerated in violating the law and destroying the country's natural resources.
