Prime Minister Edi Rama officially announced during the SP Assembly meeting the name of Ogerta Manastirliu as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.
"So, does the DP have its candidate ready for the largest municipality in the country?" - this was the question that moderator Pranvera Borakaj asked the deputy leader of the Democratic parliamentary group, Belind Këlliç, during the show QUO VADIS.
Invited to the studio, Këlliçi said that Ilir Alimehmeti and Jorida Tabaku are two potential names that could bring victory to the opposition in Tirana, however, consultations with the base and allies should be held first.
Borakaj: Do you have a picture today?
Këlliçi: Yes, there are definitely some.
Borakaj: Which ones?
Këlliçi: It's Ilir Alimehmeti, who was also a candidate against me within the party.
Bregu: As far as I know, Alimehmeti no longer has ambition.
Këlliçi: This will be part of the structures.
Borakaj: Do you agree with Agron Shehaj's theory?
Këlliçi: I agree with Agron Shehaj's semi-theory. We will need an agreed-upon political figure.
Myslimaj: The DP is having a hard time bringing together small parties.
Këlliçi: We are talking about parties that have in the background small parties that want Rama's overthrow. I think that Mr. Alimehmeti has the stature to give his best. Ms. Jorida Tabaku as well.
Borakaj: Who do you think represents you best?
Këlliçi: I can't say it personally. But I'm saying that if it comes down to names, there are as many names as you want that have the chance to defeat Ogerta Manastirliu.
