The leader of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, has given an open interview regarding his political ambitions and the possibility of running for mayor of Tirana. In an interview with the media, he stated that the Together Movement will propose a candidate, but that the final decision on the name will be made by the party's Coordination Council. However, Qori has not ruled out the possibility that the candidacy could also be his.
"We will have a candidate, but who it will be will be decided by the Joint Movement Coordinating Council. I am ready to take on any task assigned to me," he declared.
At the same time, Qori also commented on the composition of Prime Minister Rama's new government, emphasizing that the ministers are completely dependent on him. According to him, they have no political personality and are more administrators than independent political figures.
"How can you become a minister without knowing it? These people are totally dependent on Edi Rama and have no political independence. The minister should be a political figure, not just an administrator," said Qori.
While the candidacy of socialist Ogerta Manastirliu for the Municipality of Tirana has been made official, there are still no confirmed names from other parties. It remains to be seen who will be the main competition against Manastirliu in the race to lead the capital.
