Socialist Party MP, Erion Braçe, has expressed his opposition to the draft laws proposed by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, regarding the fiscal agreement that has caused a major debate about the transparency of beneficiaries.
During an interview on "Top Story", Braçe explained that his objections are related to the way past liabilities are handled and the lack of clarity on the benefits that large businesses will receive.
"The fine is not extinguished or forgiven. Bankers is under criminal investigation. It does not benefit from the fiscal peace agreement from beginning to end. There are two laws that have been considered as an amnesty. The law on the extinction of fiscal obligations 10 years in advance, for the 2014-2019 part, has a favorable scheme for those who will pay it immediately. The Economy Committee yesterday made two fundamental changes. We have extended the obligations. The second has to do with transparency, it was a proposal by Bozdo and was supported by me and the entire body of deputies. Those who are heavily indebted to the state and benefit will be public. They benefit, it is published. Let's come to fiscal peace, I cannot accept it, I am against it. How long have you been in business, you have earned and you have not paid. For me, there should be no extinction of obligations. In my opinion, the law is not well written, regardless of the purpose," said Braçe.
According to him, transparency must be uncompromising and every business that benefits from the provisions of the draft law must be made public, while he himself is against any form that is considered an amnesty for outstanding obligations.
