Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, appeared embarrassed today in the face of direct questions from MP Erion Braçe, who called him to an interpellation, raising serious issues, such as:
· The agricultural crisis and its decline from month to month
· What is used to produce cheese and cottage cheese in the country when farmers do not collect milk?
· What measures are being taken for collection points and discouraging imports that harm domestic products?
· Are measures being taken to curb the increase in the price of fruits and vegetables?
The minister himself gave general and principled, rather than direct, answers, his skin flushing and his voice cracking.
This forced Braca to come to the podium and say:
"I'm not happy that I'm repeating what I said in November, but I'm deeply disappointed that you're not listening. Why don't you sit down, why don't you do things properly? Why do you give lek per head of cattle, when you're giving lek for every liter of milk or kilogram of product? You've taken away the oil that was free for farmers at a time of crisis. This doesn't happen in times of crisis, when we don't know how we're going to get by, costs have increased. We have chemical fertilizers, and it's critical. But how did the prices double as soon as the missiles fell there. Is anyone dealing with this? They brought the goods last year, it has nothing to do with the war. Put a stop to the abuse, otherwise the villagers won't be able to breathe."
The MP's raised tones did not make the government reflect. But the republican guard did not allow Braca to bring vegetables into the Assembly to illustrate from the podium that prices have reached their peak.
