MP Erion Braçe has revealed that Albanians lack a sense of thrift, and he has noticed this in the heavy traffic despite high fuel prices. And to make the situation even more dramatic, he criticizes the government for not taking measures to raise awareness among citizens.
"Meanwhile, two things have impressed me; First, how is it possible that these days with high oil prices, there is more movement and more traffic?! We really lack a sense of saving that keeps our daily consumption at bay and we accept to pay expensive prices!! Second, it hurts me that we-MAXHORANCA had only two measures in this situation-the Board and the 20% reduction in EXCISE TAX", writes Braçe.
Whether you laugh or cry at the status of Braça, who not only sees traffic as the reason why citizens do not save, with his "criticisms" he also relativizes the government's sudden measures as if they have brought relief to citizens: the Transparency Board and excise tax!
But beyond that, it seems that Braçe forgets one detail, most citizens do not move for pleasure, but for work, school or daily chores. And traffic is not a reflection of a lack of savings, but a result of narrow streets and urban chaos, where its authors are his boss as prime minister and mayor, Edi Rama, and his namesake in the cell, Erion Veliaj.
Therefore, if he doesn't dare to clearly and openly criticize the government he is part of for not taking measures as much as the countries in the region, at least spare us the ridiculous statements that citizens don't save.
