Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that to say that Albania today has more corruption is “talking nonsense.” But this statement comes from the head of a government where more than half of the cabinet has been implicated in corruption investigations by SPAK, with ministers who have ended up in prison or under indictment.
During an activity to present job vacancies in the public sector, Rama also focused on the European integration process, denying that negotiations with the European Union have been blocked.
"There is talk and gossip up and down for unfounded reasons that the negotiations have been blocked, have been stopped, have been hindered... This is totally untrue. Whoever says this has no idea what they are talking about. Negotiations are not a walk in the park, but are a process of continuous testing and continuous exams," Rama said.
According to him, the process is continuing according to the planned agenda and April will be a month of intensive discussions with EU member states.
