The Special Court of Appeal dismissed Belinda Balluku's appeal and upheld the security measure "suspension from exercising functions". Her lawyer claimed that the measure has no effect since Balluku no longer holds functions as deputy prime minister and minister. He further added that the measure was dropped due to the lapse of the 3-month deadline. However, the defense's claims were rejected. Balluku is being investigated for abuses with road tenders.
