Despite accusations that the appointment of virtual minister Diella is unconstitutional, the Democratic Party still has no plans to file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court against President Bajram Begaj, who decreed this appointment.
This was hinted at by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a press conference. Asked whether the accusations will turn into an official denunciation, Berisha stated that there is no decision yet from the Democratic Party, continuing with political accusations against the government.
"There is no decision from our side so far. But what I can say is that Diella Rama is a member of the Rama family and that Diella symbolizes the disappearance of any responsibility for the theft of public money. There is no more blame-shifting, neither Lubina, nor Milinda of the ANA, nor the one from the health department or others. Now Rama steals, Diella is to blame," Berisha said.
While there is no official lawsuit, this shows that even the DP is unclear about Rama's action in appointing a virtual minister whether it is legal or not. Or, on the other hand, the DP is well aware of the situation and intends to keep this issue only at the level of political statements.
If the latter is true, then even the opposition, despite criticism, somehow accepts that "minister" Diella will be part of the government.
