The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the decision of the President of the Supreme Court, who has initiated the procedure for the partial amendment of personal security measures.
In a statement to the media, Bardhi said that such a move is politically motivated and is being made with the aim of releasing from prison people arrested for corruption who are close to Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"A constitutional coup to change the standard for prison arrest is Rama's political interest. The goal is to release persons involved in corruption and organized crime who are in prison.
Yesterday, a unifying decision of the Supreme Court that unifies the standards was put into review, which will take place on April 9. A politically dictated move to pave the way for undermining the work of SPAK and releasing Rama's corrupt people who are in prison. Stay at the height of your duty and do not use yourselves politically," he said.
We recall that the action of the head of the Supreme Court to change personal security measures comes a day after Prime Minister Edi Rama's criticism of the number of detentions for people under investigation.
