
A 52-year-old man has been arrested on charges of aggravated murder after stabbing his girlfriend, Pamela Genini, 29, to death in her Milan apartment. He then attempted suicide, but is out of danger and is in a serious condition at Niguarda Hospital.
According to preliminary investigations, the man had gone to the victim's apartment with a knife, which he had taken from outside, and stabbed her to death with it, after dragging her to the balcony. Witnesses say they heard the girl calling for help from the balcony.
The murder took place yesterday evening, on Via Iglesias, in the Gorla neighborhood, on the northern outskirts of Milan. The residents of the building, alarmed by the screams, called the police. Police forces and an ambulance arrived at the scene, but nothing more could be done for the young woman.

Pamela Genini, model and entrepreneur, was stabbed 24 times in various parts of her body: neck, back, chest, arms and hands.
According to the indictment by the Milan prosecutor's office and the investigations conducted by the police and prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo, the man had previously engaged in stalking behavior towards the victim and had made copies of her apartment keys without her knowledge. He had also repeatedly threatened her with death.
