The European Association of Judges has reacted to the serious incident that occurred the day before in Tirana, where judge Astrit Kalaja was shot dead inside the courtroom. In a letter addressed to the Union of Judges of Albania, the Association expresses its condolences for the tragic loss and its solidarity with the Albanian judicial system.
"On behalf of the Board of the European Association of Judges (EAJ), I would like to express our deepest condolences and regret for this tragic event, addressed to your association and the entire Albanian judicial system," the statement said.
