The city of Vlora has been facing a shortage of drinking water for three days due to a defect in the main 1000 mm diameter water supply line, which supplies the city's water tanks.
After the intervention carried out two days ago, the first test failed, as high pressure caused the pipeline to burst. Workers intervened again in the early hours of Saturday morning, with the aim of restoring normal water supply as quickly as possible.
Even after a test conducted yesterday afternoon, the pipeline pressure prevented the problem from being repaired, leaving citizens without water for more than 72 hours.
