
Police arrest two suspects as part of a criminal group trafficking weapons from Montenegro to Albania.
Donati Jaku and Florian Gjeta were arrested as part of the "Operation Rotondo" codenamed "Operation Rotondo".
"The vehicle driven by the 22-year-old and in which citizen Donati Jaku was a passenger, was stopped for checks, in cooperation with the services of the Special Operational Force of the Tirana Police Department, in the place called "Rrethi i Freskut".
"From the vehicle checks, 6 firearms (SigSauer pistols) suspected of being trafficked from Montenegro, with the intention of being sold in this area, were found. The firearms were seized together with the "Volkswagen" vehicle driven by citizen Florian Gjeta, as well as 4 mobile phones," the police announced.
Police announced a search for the suspected accomplice of the arrested, citizen ES.
