To be sent back to prison and sentenced to 2 years and 4 months, just because of a mistake about who you included in a new WhatsApp group and what message you sent them. This happened to an Albanian in England, who had just been released from prison and tried to start selling cocaine all over again.
English media reports that Urim Pomari, recently released from detention, made a serious mistake.
Just two weeks after his release from prison, he sent a group message offering to sell doses of cocaine, adding a snowflake emoji, which is used as code for cocaine.
However, he mistakenly included in this message the phone number of the probation officer, to whom he was supposed to report every week.
After being notified of the message, police raided Pomari's home in Ipswich, where cocaine, scales and £1,255 in cash were seized.
This mistake did not go unnoticed by the judge during the announcement of the verdict. Judge Nicola Talbot-Hadley criticized Pomari, saying that he was “not a sophisticated criminal” and called the fact that he sent a message to his probation officer “particularly stupid”. In the end, Pomari was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison.
