A convict attempted to escape from Lezha prison. The incident occurred at around 09:30, during an auxiliary activity for the arrangement of waste in the external regime of the institution, under the supervision of security officers. During this process, the person in question crossed the external perimeter wire, attempting to leave the territory of the institution.
The General Directorate of Prisons reports that at around 09:33, he was captured and neutralized near the institution by the responsible employees, without exerting resistance or opposition and without any incident or danger to the employees or the community.
