A serious road accident occurred today on the Prizren-Suva Reka road, where a car collided with a truck. Unfortunately, two people lost their lives as a result of this accident.
The victims are Elizabeta Katija, 43, a well-known figure in the business field and a leader in the Albanian Diaspora Chamber of Business, as well as Eorda Sinollari, 32, a consultant and former journalist with valuable contributions over the years.
Kosovo Police have confirmed the case and are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of this tragic accident.
The truck driver, Munish Grajçefci, was also injured in the accident and was also sent for medical assistance, but their condition is not yet known.
The vehicles involved in the accident are a "Mercedes GLE", with Albanian license plates, driven by Elizabet Katija (victim), and a "Mercedes Atego" truck, driven by Munish Grajçefci (injured).
"Today, at around 07:40, on the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway at kilometer 26, a traffic accident with fatal consequences occurred. This accident involved a heavy transport vehicle - a truck, with local license plates, and a car with foreign license plates. As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle lost his life, while the driver of the truck suffered injuries," said Kosovo Police spokesman Baki Kelani.
