The outgoing head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, at an event held at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University in Durrës, emphasized that corruption is a scourge that has affected all institutions in the country.
He started with the Prosecutor's Offices, saying that unfortunately they have had to hold their colleagues accountable, with whom, as Dumani said, they also had social relations.
Also, according to Dumani, over 70 police officers have been investigated and tried in the years since SPAK was established, and they have also been found to be part of criminal groups. Even a judge, Dumani added, was found to be involved in crime and has been accused of participating in a criminal group.
"Corruption is a plague that affects all institutions. I would start with the Prosecution. Unfortunately, we have had to hold our colleagues accountable, and we may even have had social relationships. But we have fulfilled our duty. To come to the police. In so many years of SPAK, the number of police officers investigated for corruption and other criminal offenses is over 70. Dumani is expected to complete his three-year term as Chief Prosecutor on December 18, then hand over the reins to Klodian Brahos, who was elected the day before.
