
The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has accepted the request of the Special Prosecution Office and has decided to extend the security measure "Arrest in prison" for 10 members of the criminal group known as "Rraja".
The decision was made by the panel of judges Etleva Deda, based on the Criminal Procedure Code and the criminal law on structured criminal groups. The persons involved, including Islam Sefa (alias Xaka), Rexhep Rraja, Agim Nina (alias Lorenc Selmani), Përparim Rraja, Gazmir Rraja, Zamir Aliaj (alias Çoku), Aldo Gjini (alias Iamandri), Sokol Qaja, Jani Çavo and Marvin Bushati, are suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Drug Trafficking” in collaboration and in the special form of a structured criminal group.
The court also confirmed the arrest in flagrante delicto and the assignment of the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Marvin Bushati, also suspected of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."
The Special Prosecution Office is obliged to execute this decision, while its publication is prohibited under Article 103 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The decision may be appealed within the legal deadline to the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime.
