SPAK reports that four employees of the Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IMT) have found an unauthorized tent in a building in the Kombinat area. According to sources, after verifications and noting that the building was built without a permit and was about to collapse, one of the inspectors later returned and asked the owner of the building for 1 thousand euros, in order not to tear down the tent.
The owner of the facility immediately notified the police. By order of the prosecutor, an operation was organized to catch the suspected officials red-handed, giving them the money with registered serial numbers.
After receiving the money, two IMT employees, Geraldo Fuçia and Klajdi Zhilla (who is wanted), fled to a bar, where they attempted to hide the money by leaving it with the bartender. Initially, the police searched the interior of the bar, where they found a phone and another amount of money, but not those with serial numbers.
After examining the security cameras, the place where the bribe money was hidden was discovered, which was seized. At the end of the operation, Geraldo Fuçia was arrested in flagrante delicto, while Klajdi Zhilla is wanted.
The other two IMT employees have been released, as they were not found to have been involved in the corrupt act, at least in this case. However, the investigations continue.
