The resort of the arrested former head of the IMT in Durrës, Ardian Halili, is collapsing with an explosion and a huge explosion. A few minutes ago, the engineering forces carried out the controlled demolition of the 2-story building of the resort, while other smaller buildings collapsed with a huge explosion.
Ardian Halili, the former chief inspector of the Inspectorate of Territory Protection (IMT) in Durrës, was arrested by the police for illegal construction. He is suspected of having built several holiday homes in the village of Shetaj, Ishëm, without a permit in 2017, while he was on duty. This complex, known as “Saint Michelle Residence”, includes luxury villas, swimming pools and service areas, and was built near the coast, in a protected area.
Halili held the position of Chief Inspector of IMT Durrës from 2017 to April 2021. He is the husband of the former Durrës prosecutor, Rabiana Halili, who after being dismissed from Vetting received a lawyer's license and today defends, among others, Emiljano Shullazi.
