The State Police finalized the operation "Operacionalja 64", capturing and handcuffing brothers Roland (47 years old) and Saimir Metushi (45 years old) in Divjaka, convicted by Italian authorities for participating in a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics.
The Novara Court sentenced them to 5 and 7 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".

The police operation codenamed "Operation 64" is finalized.
2 wanted citizens (brothers), sentenced by Italian authorities to 7 and 5 years in prison, for participation in a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics, are located, captured and placed in handcuffs.
Following successive operations to capture internationally wanted citizens, the structures of the Special Operational Force Directorate in the Criminal Police Department at the DPSSh, based on information provided on the location of two internationally wanted citizens, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Operation 64".
As part of the operation, it was possible to capture and arrest, with the aim of extradition to Italy, the following internationally wanted citizens:
Roland Metushi, 47 years old, and Saimir Metushi, 45 years old (brothers), both residents of Divjaka.
The Court of Novara, Italy, in October 2024, sentenced citizen Saimir Metushi to 7 years in prison, while citizen Roland Metushi to 5 years in prison, for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".
The procedural materials on the provisional arrest of these citizens, with the aim of their extradition to Italy, were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier.
Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, is continuing the procedures for the extradition of these citizens to Italy.
