A 56-year-old police officer in Përmet was blackmailed by several people into publishing intimate photos and messages he had with a 16-year-old girl. The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office, which is investigating the case, has signed 4 arrest warrants, with 3 of the suspects being placed in handcuffs, while one is being sought.
The 16-year-old's stepfather has been arrested on suspicion of indecent acts with the minor, while the other two are accused of using the girl to blackmail the police officer. The latter two and another wanted person have been charged with blackmail and extortion.
Intimate photos of the girl and the police officer were found on the policeman's phone, as well as messages exchanged between them. Blackmail attempts were also discovered to force him to give them money, otherwise they would publish compromising materials on social networks.
