The Korça Prosecution Office has completed the investigations into the murder of Erald Xhejo in the village of Pirg in Maliqi and has sent the juvenile perpetrator, Enedio Guri, his father Edison Guri, his uncle Roland Guri, and Flori Çela, for trial.
The juvenile perpetrator is charged with "murder under extenuating circumstances". The father, Edison Guri, is accused of actions that hinder the discovery of the truth, while the uncle, Roland Guri, in addition to hindering the discovery of the truth, is also accused of supporting the perpetrator in committing the crime. Flori Çela is charged with failure to report a crime and supporting the perpetrator in a crime.
The incident took place outside a bar in Pirg, where minor Erald Xhejo was involved in a physical conflict with Enedio Guri. According to the Prosecution, the footage shows that Enedio chased Xhejo with a knife in his hand and, after the minor fell to the ground, hit him.
The prosecution emphasizes that the author's father was aware of his son's involvement in the conflict, but did not cooperate with the justice system, while taking actions that prevented the investigation of the incident.
Full announcement:
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça has completed the investigations and is sending to trial the minor citizen EG, for the criminal offense 'Murder in qualifying circumstances' provided for by Article 79/a/ë of the Criminal Code, as well as citizens EG, RG and F.Ç, for the criminal offense "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth" provided for by Article 301 of the Criminal Code.
At the conclusion of the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 1155/2025, it resulted that, on 14.08.2025, at around 17:30, the Police structures were notified that the minor E.Xh., 15 years old, resident of the village of Zvirinë, had been transported to the Korça Regional Hospital in serious condition. Due to wounds received with a cutting instrument (knife) in the chest area, the minor died, despite medical assistance.
From the first investigative actions, it was determined that the incident had occurred outside the "Amar" bar, in the village of Pirg, where the victim had physically conflicted with another minor, citizen EG, a resident of the same village.

From the review of the video footage provided by the bar's security cameras, it was determined that the victim and the suspected perpetrator were involved in a physical conflict. The video clearly shows that citizen EG was holding a knife in his hand, followed the victim between the tables on the veranda and, after a fight and fall to the ground, hit him with the cutting tool, causing the fatal wound.
Likewise, from the investigations of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, citizen EG, the father of the accused minor, it resulted that after learning about his son's involvement in the conflict that occurred in the village of Pirg, he did not maintain a cooperative stance with the justice authorities, but on the contrary took concrete actions that prevented the full and immediate discovery of the truth.
From the analysis of witness statements and film evidence, it results that citizen EG, in collaboration with citizen RG (his brother and the victim's uncle) and citizen F. Ç., as well as with the perpetrator himself, has taken active actions aimed at creating a new factual situation, in order to divert attention from the criminal event that occurred previously.
At the same time, it was proven that EG was also aware of the concealment and manipulation of the main material evidence of the crime, specifically the knife used by the perpetrator. The evidence shows that this knife was not seized at the scene, but was taken and then washed by his brother, citizen RG,
In view of the above, in accordance with Article 327, point 6, letter "b", and 331 of the Code of Procedure
Criminal The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, requests the following citizens to be brought to trial:
