The Special Court decided this Thursday to pass on to trial the criminal file against Safet Bajri, considered Dobraçi's strongman in Shkodra, Behar Bajri, Astmer Bilali and Eria Ago, defendants for the murder of Fatbardh Lici in 2018 in Shkodra.
The defendants' lawyers requested the dismissal of the case or the return of the documents for further investigation, arguing that the Shkodra prosecution had previously suspended the file due to lack of evidence.
However, the Special Court assessed that SPAK had investigated fully and comprehensively and, for this reason, passed the file on to trial.
Safet Bajri, Behar Bajri and Astmer Bilali are charged with “Premeditated Murder”, “Structured Criminal Group” and “Committing Criminal Offenses by a Criminal Organization and a Structured Criminal Group”. According to SPAK, the three defendants organized and carried out the murder of Fatbardh Lici, the uncle of Ibrahim Lici, their sworn opponent. Investigations showed that they accused Ibrahim Lici of the murder of Boran Bërcana, a former police officer, and his partner, Silvi Ndoci. In revenge, they killed his uncle.
Meanwhile, Eria Ago, Safet Bajri's former partner, is accused of helping the perpetrators flee the scene.
