The Guardia di Finanza of Brescia has uncovered a vast drug trafficking network, with its main base in the province, executing 24 security measures, including 9 arrests in the city of Brescia. The main bases of this operation were in Rovato and Palazzolo, according to investigations carried out by the Italian authorities.
The investigation has shown that the drug importation and distribution activity was in the hands of Albanian clans, which managed the entire criminal network. In addition to the arrests, a large confiscation of money was also carried out, hitting the criminal organization financially.
According to the investigation, the cocaine was imported from South America, while the heroin came from Albania. As part of the operation, several bus drivers who were unaware that they were transporting drugs, as well as several truck drivers who were knowingly involved in illegal activities, were also identified.
Investigators are continuing to follow all leads, trying to identify all participants and the international trafficking network, with the aim of completely stopping this criminal activity.
