SPAK completed the investigations against former traffic police chief Roven Zeka and his two former subordinates Sokol Novaku and Edison Tabaku. Ergest Vrioni and Bledi Belba have also been named as defendants.
Former police officers received money to not report an accident to the prosecutor's office. Their criminal file is expected to be reviewed by Judge Irena Gjoka in a preliminary hearing.
We recall that Roven Zeka was placed under house arrest on July 14 after requesting a lighter security measure due to a pelvic injury he sustained during a fall in detention.
The Special Court accepted his request after receiving a response from the medical expertise regarding the former police officer's condition.
