The former head of IMT in Durres, Ardian Halili, who built a resort at Cape Rodonit without permission while he was in office, has been remanded in prison.
The resort of the former head of IMT in Durrës, Ardian Halili, collapsed on Friday afternoon with a controlled explosion.
Engineer forces demolished the two-story resort building with 80 kg of explosives, while other smaller buildings were demolished with a hammer.
The verifications revealed that the "Saint Michelle Residence" was built without a permit on an area of 5,600 m2, which included 11 studio-type cabins, a 2-story building, a mini-football field and a swimming pool.
Construction began in 2018, during the time when Ardian Halili was heading the Durrës IMT, a position he held until 2021.
