The Special Court remanded in prison IMT inspector Gerald Fuçia, who is accused of corruption.
During the closed-door session, he declared that he had no connection to any corrupt affair.
"I do not know the citizen at all, nor have I contacted or met him, nor do I know anything about the bribe. I declare with moral and legal responsibility that I have nothing to do with this story, I exercise my duty with seriousness and professionalism as in dozens of other cases of the action to free public spaces," he said. The lawyers requested a lighter security measure until the situation is clarified by the investigation.
Fuçia and Klajdi Zhilla, who turned himself in last night, are suspected of taking a 1,000 euro bribe from a person to keep their tent.
