The Special Court passed the criminal case against three people accused of hacking SPAK systems for trial.
The main defendant is the former Director General of Prisons, Agim Ismaili, who collaborated with two former officials Zambak Gjoni and Arnold Rrokaj.
The court has assessed that SPAK's investigations into them are complete and has therefore forwarded the file for trial.
The defendants will be tried on charges of “Unauthorized computer access”, paragraph two, and “Illegal interception of computer data”, paragraph two, committed in the special form of cooperation of a structured criminal group, as well as for the criminal offenses “Structured criminal group” and “Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group”.
Gjoni and Rrokaj will be tried in an expedited procedure, while Agim Ismaili will be tried separately in a regular trial.
The investigations revealed that defendant Arnold Rrokaj had unauthorized access to SPAK investigative materials, some of which were illegally sent to defendants Zambak Gjoni and Agim Ismaili, who then distributed them to third parties.
