A dinghy coming from the Albanian coast has given the emergency signal "SOS" near Corfu, putting Greek and Albanian authorities in motion. The vessel was found half-sunken in the Prasoudi area, where Greek police rescued its driver, 50-year-old from Saranda, Edmond Musa, known as "Çimoni", with a history of drug trafficking.
He was initially arrested for illegal border crossing, but after additional checks near Sajadha, police found a large quantity of marijuana in the raft. The drugs were seized and transported to the port of Igoumenitsa, while authorities from both countries have launched joint investigations into the suspected international trafficking network.
