The Tropoja Police have continued with detailed checks and field verifications, identifying over the last two days seven cases of illegal construction in different areas of the district. As a result, the authorities have declared two citizens wanted and have criminally prosecuted five others. The investigative actions resulted in SB, 47 years old, resident of the village of Gegaj, having built a building on the “Ujza” mountain without having any permit from the competent authorities. Also, in the protected area of Valbona, in the “Malaj” neighborhood, another similar case was found, where AD, resident of Tirana, was building a building without a permit. In this case, his father, citizen SD, was also included in the proceedings, who will be investigated at large.
Meanwhile, the police referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for four other cases:
GK and SA, residents of Tropoja, who had built structures without permission in the "Sylbica" mountains;
P.Gj., resident of Puka, who was found to have carried out construction works without authorization in the village of Breg Lumi;
KH, resident of the village of Viçidol, caught red-handed in the “Rrëzë Shkëlzenit” mountains, where he was building a building without a permit.
The police emphasize that they will continue intensive field checks, with the aim of identifying and punishing every case of construction in violation of the law, especially in protected areas, where the consequences for the environment are even more serious.
