Around 14 people suspected of criminal activity have been arrested by the police during an operation in which nearly 10,000 cannabis sativa roots were seized in Bajzë, Malësia e Madhe.
The arrested citizens are: Elez Çulaj, Muho Culaj, Fatmir Senaj, Drita Senaj, Rezarta Jacaj, Kujtim Laçaj, Elfajed Halaj, Agron Laçaj, Adrian Çekaj, Gjelin Çekaj, Miranda Çekaj, Pjetër Çekaj, Çun Halaj and a 17-year-old.
Part of the cannabis was grown in an open area and another part in a nearby greenhouse. Police are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the cultivation of cannabis and the people involved.
In recent days, police have cracked down on two other cases in Malësia e Madhe, one with 2,000 cannabis roots and the other with nearly 5,000 cannabis roots.
