Six cases of thefts committed in recent months in Memaliaj and Përmet by a seemingly unusual criminal duo have been uncovered: mother and son!
The services of the Tepelena Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Memaliaj Police Station, have successfully finalized a coded operation to crack down on criminal activities in the field of property theft.
Citizen ZU, 67 years old, resident of Belsh, was arrested, while her son, LU, 36 years old, also from Belsh, was declared wanted.
How did they act?
Investigations have revealed that the criminal duo operated in an organized manner, first researching targets – homes, bars and even places of worship – and then committing the robberies late at night. They used strong tools such as crowbars and screwdrivers to enter various premises and take money or valuables.
