Soni Pepa is extradited from the Dominican Republic to Albania. He was wanted for cocaine trafficking and was part of the Çopja criminal clan.

The extradition of Albanian citizen SP, alias VP, from Punta Cana/Dominican Republic, to Albania is finalized.
Following the intensive cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, within the framework of the international police operation codenamed "The Wanted", in the early hours of this morning, the procedures for the extradition from Punta Cana/Dominican Republic to our country of the Albanian citizen SP, alias VP, 41 years old, born in Lushnja, were finalized.
This citizen was wanted after the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime imposed the personal security measure "Prison arrest" for the criminal offenses "Drug trafficking", "Committing criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity".
As a result of the information provided by the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and its exchange through Interpol Tirana with Interpol Santo Domingo, the arrest in Punta Cana/Dominican Republic was made possible, finalizing the extradition of this citizen to our country. Citizen SP, at the end of the procedures, was handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons.
The State Police thanks the authorities of the Dominican Republic and the German authorities for their cooperation in finalizing the extradition procedures of the 41-year-old to Albania.
