A serious road accident occurred at noon this Sunday, September 7, in the village of Zdrajsh, Librazhd municipality, where a vehicle left the road and rolled over on steep terrain, leaving its driver seriously injured.
The injured person has been identified as Esat Tahir Xherri. The incident occurred at around 13:00, on a sharp bend in the rural road in the Orenja Administrative Unit. According to preliminary data, the vehicle lost control, went off the road and overturned for about 100 meters in an area with difficult terrain.
As a result, Xherri suffered serious injuries and multiple fractures. He was removed from the badly damaged vehicle and urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is in critical condition.
The traffic police and the investigation team are at the scene and are investigating to fully clarify the causes. It is initially suspected that the loss of control was due to speed or the worn-out condition of the road.
