The Director of the Albanian Investment Corporation, Elira Kokona, has been summoned by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office to provide explanations regarding a criminal report filed against her. According to sources, she is expected to provide clarifications in her capacity as a person in the know, while the progress of the case will be determined depending on the investigations.
The summons was signed by the prosecutor in the case, Dritan Nushi. Other members of Prime Minister Edi Rama's cabinet are also expected to be questioned in the same proceedings, including Enkelejd Musabelliu, Kastriot Gurra, Enkelejda Muçaj and Ermal Nufi, the latter deputy chief of staff of the Prime Minister.
Elira Kokona is expected to appear at the prosecutor's office on Tuesday, February 24, at 11:30 a.m. Criminal proceedings no. 4113 of 2025 were registered based on the report filed by Thanas Biqiku.
According to sources, the case may be transferred to SPAK, depending on the progress of the investigations and the nature of the criminal offenses being verified.
