45-year-old Denis Çumani has lost his life at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, after failing to survive serious injuries sustained in a gun attack on the evening of Tuesday, January 27, near his apartment.
According to preliminary sources, Çumani was initially raped and then shot by two cousins, Dorian and Indrit Ferra. The bullet penetrated his body, causing fatal injuries that led to his death in hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the conflict may have arisen out of jealousy, as the victim allegedly had communicated with a girl who was in a relationship with one of the suspected perpetrators.
The two people involved have been declared wanted for the criminal offense of wounding, while so far there has been no official reaction from the police regarding the death of the 45-year-old.
