Residents from villages in the Thumane Administrative Unit protested today for the third time in a row near the Thumane-Kashar highway underpass, blocking traffic for about an hour.
The cause of the protest is the destruction of the Gramza road, which is used by vehicles that deviate from the main highway access, as well as the lack of interest of the Albanian Road Authority (ARSH) and the Municipality of Krujë in investing in and repairing this road of about 500 meters.
Residents appealed for urgent investment in the roads of Kruja, one of the least-invested areas, which they say have been neglected by the government. The protest highlighted the community's frustration with the degraded infrastructure and the lack of institutional response.
