A serious road accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Italy, where a young Albanian man lost his life. The victim is Claudio Gjoka, 20 years old, originally from Lezha, residing in Saluzzo.
The tragic event occurred at around 11:30 on provincial road 589 (Saluzzo–Barge), in the territory of the municipality of Revello, at kilometer 53, near the Abbey of Staffard. According to preliminary information, the accident was caused by a head-on collision between a truck and an “Audi” vehicle, driven by the young Albanian.
The collision proved fatal for 20-year-old Klaudio Gjoka. Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, nothing could be done for the young man and he died at the scene.
After the accident, the road was closed for several hours, causing heavy traffic and chaos in the area. Italian authorities have launched investigations to clarify the causes and full circumstances of the accident. Italian media report that this is the first fatal case on the roads of the “Granda” region for 2026.
The bitter news has also been confirmed by the victim's family, while Klaudio Gjoka's brother and other relatives have expressed their pain through touching posts on social media.
