Journalist Klodiana Lala, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, stated that SPAK's investigations into the January 21 murders face serious difficulties, because the investigative file has been destroyed over the years in previous prosecutors' offices.
According to Lala, SPAK is currently awaiting the results of two important expert acts, including the analysis of the projectile removed from Aleks Nika's body, as well as the verification of the radio communications of the Republic Guard.
"SPAK is awaiting the results of the expert reports, where the shell that was removed from Aleks Nika's body was sent. Without receiving these results, the investigation cannot continue," Lala said.
She stressed that some of the key figures of the time, including former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, former Minister Lulzim Basha and former President Bamir Topi, as well as employees of the Republic Guard, have been questioned. However, according to her, the process has remained blocked due to the lack of complete documentation.
"The old file has been taken, but we are practically asking justice to solve an event with a destroyed file," the journalist declared.
Lala expressed skepticism regarding the political will to shed light on the incident, emphasizing that, according to her, there was time and opportunity to destroy material evidence.
"The suspected perpetrators were given time to destroy evidence, to cut up weapons, to break the Prime Minister's server. Even later, when Rama took power, if there had been a real will to solve the case, this incident would have been solved," she said.
According to Lala, there is only one real way to find out if there was an orderer for the January 21 murders.
"There is only one possibility for the incident to be solved. Agron Malaj, former commander of the fire group and currently a member of parliament, knows very well who gave the order. If he receives the status of a repentant person of justice, the incident will be solved," Lala said.
She added that another key element would be the full publication of radio communications of Guard officers.
"The full radio communications should be revealed, because currently we only have fragments that do not tell the whole truth. Even if it is determined where Aleks Nika's bullet came from, we remain with the executor and not the one who ordered it," she concluded.
