Tirana police struck a criminal group suspected of supplying weapons to criminal groups. Part of this group are suspected to be citizens Artur Brahimaj, Ilir Zyberi and Artur Rushiti. While a fourth person, citizen ES, 28 years old, was declared wanted.

One of the arrested, Ilir Zyberi, was previously sentenced to 22 years in prison for the murder of an Italian. He is the brother of Fatmir Avdillari, known as Xubi, who was fatally injured on Migjeni Boulevard in 2021.
Police announced that Artur Brahimaj and Ilir Zyberi were caught in Tufina, attempting to sell 2 Kalashnikov firearms. “Investigations suspect that these citizens were members of a group that sold firearms in different areas of Tirana, mainly in Tufina and Fresk,” the police announced.
