
Former United States Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, has officially ended her career in diplomacy. The news was made public by journalist Blendi Fevziu, while the departure ceremony was held the day before in Washington.
The ceremony was attended by family, close friends, colleagues and well-known diplomatic figures, including the former US Ambassador to Tirana, Aleksandër Arvizu, and the current Ambassador of Albania to Washington.
Yuri Kim served as Ambassador to Albania from 2019–2023, where she became a well-known and often vocal figure in support of judicial reform and the strengthening of democratic institutions. During her diplomatic career, she has also served in countries of strategic importance to the United States, including South Korea, Japan, China, Iraq, Turkey, and Albania.
