
At least 9 people, including 4 children, were killed today in a US-Israeli attack in Tehran.
Iranian state television said the attack targeted two residential buildings in the capital's Shahriar neighborhood. The attack killed nine people, wounded four others and caused both buildings to collapse, the broadcaster said.
Earlier today, Iranian media reported that overnight US-Israeli attacks in Tehran and the city of Qom killed at least 34 people.
Iran has not released an official death toll from the war. However, the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported that 3,540 people have been killed.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said on Friday that at least 1,900 civilians have been killed and 20,000 others injured.
Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive against Iran on February 28.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel as well as Jordan, Iraq and Gulf states that host US military assets. Iran has also restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for oil and gas shipments.
