Iran has categorically denied claims of missile attacks on neighboring countries, while warning that it has also prepared a diplomatic response to the United States, which is expected to be made public in the future.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ali Baghaei stated that Tehran has not launched any missiles towards Azerbaijan and Turkey.
"We have made it clear that no missiles were fired from Iran towards the Republic of Azerbaijan, and I believe that the talks between the two presidents and foreign ministers have resolved any misunderstandings," he said.
According to him, the same situation applies to Turkey: "We clearly stated that no missiles were fired from our side and I think there is understanding between the two countries. If there were problems, they were resolved through dialogue."
In another statement, the spokesman stressed that Iran has already prepared its diplomatic response to the United States, as part of efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
"Iran does not hesitate to clearly express the demands it considers legitimate. This should not be seen as a sign of compromise, but as evidence of confidence in defending our positions," he declared during a press conference.
"We have formulated our responses and will announce the details in due course," Baghaei added.
The statements come at a tense moment in the region, as diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire between Iran and the US are still underway.
