
Five citizens have been escorted by the State Police following tensions recorded during the protest held in front of the Albanian Parliament.
According to preliminary information, the escorted persons were taken to Police Station No. 1 in Tirana, while the official reasons for the escort have not yet been made known.
Meanwhile, the protest continues in front of the Parliament building, where protesters have surrounded the premises and continued to chant against the government, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The presence of State Police forces and Rapid Intervention Forces (RNF) personnel remains increased in the area, who are monitoring the situation to avoid further escalation of tensions.
