An Israeli-flagged ship has been hit by an Iranian drone in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state media reports.
The ship was engulfed in flames on the waterway, which has been largely closed since the outbreak of war, as Iran seeks to impose a price on the global economy.
The news was also announced by the Revolutionary Guard, IRGC, which said it had shot down a commercial ship sailing to Israel in the Strait of Hormuz with a drone.
"A drone hit a ship affiliated with the Zionist regime in the Strait of Hormuz. The ship was engulfed in flames," the Revolutionary Guards' naval forces told X, adding that the ship is called the MSC Ishyka.
