Tehran has rejected a United States proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire, according to Iranian media reports.
The semi-official Fars news agency reported that the US had proposed a temporary ceasefire today through an intermediary country.
"Iran's response to this proposal did not come in written form, but was reflected on the ground through continued intensive attacks," Fars reported.
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that Iran has officially informed mediators of its unwillingness to meet with US officials in Islamabad in the coming days.
