The Democratic Party has sent an official request for information to Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Bajram Begaj, regarding the procedures followed for the proposal and decree of Vlora Hyseni as head of the State Intelligence Service.
The request was submitted by the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Internal Affairs and Defense, Klevis Balliu, who requested information on the criteria and procedures used by the Prime Minister's Office for Hysen's proposal, as well as from the Presidency for its approval.
Balliu stated that the issue is related to national security and demanded an urgent, complete and transparent response from the two institutions.
In his statement, the Democratic MP also raised allegations about Ergys Agas's influence in important security and state administration institutions. These allegations were presented by Balliu without new public evidence in the quoted statement.
According to the DP representative, state institutions should clarify how the procedures for the management of SHISH were followed, emphasizing that the request, according to him, is not a personal or party issue, but is related to the functioning of the institutions and national security.
